this dexter toy looks really wierd.

ya know....makin' comics is hard...and scary. i mean i have tons of gag strips, continuing stories, on liners. its just putting em together. that is a daunting task. taking the time to compile years and years of sketchboooks sounds like fun.....but not really. i think i just need to do it and organize, get it over with. move on to new things. which i am doing. now with school and junk, that's gonna take a bit longer.
then, there is the online presence that i need to have. to survive in today's world you neeeed it. i need to get a good computer and a web site, and a store, and product for said store. so.... i guess I'm chugging along. working toward a goal years in the making. i suppose as long as i have some sort of dream and am still following it I'm not THAT much of a loser.

barbarella is swella

years keep on going by faster and faster. that suuucks. oh well.
currently i've been an art machine. plus a whole bunch of ideas for future projects. i suppose i always have ideas. some better than others. anywhoo, i just bought barbarella on dvd. its such a visual masterpiece that i belive i'll do some works based on it. plus i belive i will try something diffrent this time. i was thing of doing collage. i've done it once before, and it was ok. this time i belive i can push it a bit further, than previously. at least i hope.
gonna try to keep updating more often.

anyway, the idea is to do diffrent barbarella outfits all collaged from whatever i can find. should be neat, fun, and annoying all in one.

wolverine and the x-men

the new x-men cartoon looks kinda sweet. white queen on the team. domino= awesome!!!! mavrik, young forge, and dust from the new x-men. looks promising. oh, plus a marvel cameo of awesomeness.

soooo. its almost been a year since posting, and thats just really sad. i have been working on my comic. its a long process...but its coming. i wish i had a scan or two, but i dont. gonna try to put out a zine of some sort, and get buttons made. going back to school, so thats a plus.

i love the 80's

i had this idea a while ago to paint diffrent 80's characters in my "style" ( meaning i cant draw them as they should look.) , and try to sell some of the paintings at my local comic shop. well, i think im gonna try that again. the first one i did on wood, and i did like it, but canvas is easier to ship and sell. sooooo, these will be done on canvas. i'll probably do sets of four. the first ones im gonna work on are the he-man ones.

and as a side note, i know that cherry darling is'nt from the 80's, but i just saw grindhouse and wanted to draw her. so there!

i'm starting a new job where i hand out free cigs........this is what i thought might happen.

begin collection

its time ince again for me to take another stab at making a collection of comics. the first thing to do is look through my old stuff see what i can print as is, or see if i have to re-draw, or write anything. then i gotta think up some new stuff. best way to do that is sketch-sketchy-sketch-sketch.

re-hash from the past

as the thing that usally happens when i read new stuff, i get inspired. i FINALLY got wet moon by ross campbell. its awesome. he has such a great style. he has some of the best quiet scenes i've seen in a while, plus his pacing is great! also got a book by brandon graham, king city. super cool book and great comcepts. i really like how he did the layout and some of the placement of the semi-establishing shots anyway, this got me to thinking about my comtinuing characters that i will someday make a comic out of. i have diffrent ideas, and situations, but nothing that i think make a cohesive or compelling story. every thing i think of seems too cliche to me. oh well. i'll figure somthing out. in the mean time, here are said character critisizing me. (fuckers.)

im currently working on a painting for my friend (it was her birth day not too long ago) it'll kinda look like this. i started it and i work on it a little every day. im trying a couple of diffrent things on this one. so, we'll see how the end result is.
